My Marathon Man

In early April, our family spent time with our friends the Severance family in the Conejo Valley, in order to take part in the various activites offered by The Agoura Great Race. DJ and Mark took off at 7:00 a.m. and ran a Half-Marathon. Here are the daughters, waiting near the finish line to catch a glimpse of and to cheer on their racing fathers.

After the Half-Marathon, Alexandra and Megan Severance ran in the Kids' One-Mile Run. Here is a snapshot of the back of Alex as she races along. Their time was 10:57.

Next, Brooke and DJ ran another mile in the Family Fun Run. Here they are near the beginning of their travels. Their time was approximately 11:32.

The very next weekend, by way of a last-minute invitation from a co-worker of his, DJ took part in the Paso Robles Wine Country Half-Marathon. Hence the title of this post, "My Marathon Man", since DJ ran the equivalent of a full marathon within the span of 9 days. :-) What a stud!
