Hello, Friends and Fans! I haven't posted to this blog in a time, mostly because, regarding DJ's health, everything is hunky dory! He had a meeting with Dr. Spillane the oncologist last week, who looked at DJ's bloodwork and declared that the tumor markers for colon cancer are in the "normal" range. DJ is healthy and strong, has returned to full-time work, and is exercising regularly. The port is yet implanted beneath his skin, and Dr. Spillane is somewhat vague about when that may be removed. "When we're sure you don't need it anymore," he says. Perhaps after DJ's upcoming colonoscopy on March 14, if there are no polyps or tumors detected in his colon, then the port may be removed (?). In the meantime, we are blessed beyond measure with good health and grace and mercy and love and laughter and life! Thank You, LORD!! :-) (The photo above is of Carol the R.N., Onc. flushing DJ's port.)
On the homefront, life in the Bigelow household remains busy and blessed with the 12-year old daughter, the 9-year old daughter, the 6-year old son, and the almost-89-year old Nanny. Alexandra is happy for a new season of "Survivor", Brooke is playing softball with our local girls' league, Caedmon waits eagerly each week for any time he can spend playing "Pokemon" with his buddy Dylan, and Nanny looks forward to planting a dwarf lemon tree and roses when spring arrives.
