Hello everyone.
You might expect that this would be Holly Lisa McDonald
Bigelow writing as usual, but instead it is her daughter Alex. I felt that she
needed to update, but she is very busy, so she suggested that I write for her.
So here I am.
Caedmon just finished a very exciting basketball
season. He enjoyed his first time playing basketball with the local YMCA. His team,
the Sharks, had a very fun time playing every Saturday, and Caed is very sad
that it is over. 3rd grade is fun for him, as he also traveled with
his class yesterday to Morro Bay to study the estuary, where the fresh water of
a river meets the ocean.
March means softball for Brooke! She has been
practicing with her team for a couple weeks and her first game is tomorrow. She
also has taken after me and been involved with her drama class at school, and
performed as the Miller’s Daughter in her class’s production of Rumpelstiltskin
in December. (I missed the first two scenes of my own show to see it. Luckily I
was on backstage crew so I found someone to take my tapestry on and off for two
scenes. Plus we performed for two weekends so I was still there a lot.)
| This is Me and another drama friend. |
Theatre! My life revolves around theatre. As aforementioned
I was on Backstage Crew for Robin Hood, as well as Costume Crew. Two days after
Robin Hood closed we started learning things for Hairspray auditions, which
were the week after winter break. I am in the Ensemble and Costume Crew again, which
are both super fun. We open in three weeks! Besides Hairspray, I am also taking
Voice lessons with my best friend Bella. We were also taking Tap lessons, but
had to stop because of Hairspray. Hopefully we will be able to continue those
after the show closes. Bella and I are preparing to sing a song with our friend
Amber at our drama club talent show in a few weeks, so that’s also exciting yet
scary. I am also part of a one-act play in drama class itself, and I can’t wait
to perform that in June.
Mom is enjoying her semi-new job (at MY school) a lot.
She is very busy driving us all around, plus working, but she said that she
really enjoys the “stages of life” that us kids are in.
Dad recently had a CT scan of his chest, abdomen and
pelvis on February 14, which showed up clear, with no signs of disease, so we
are all very grateful for that. In other news the Seahawks won the Super bowl!!!
Which means… (Drum roll)… he has to take me to New York and we get to see a
Broadway show! We (mostly me) are very excited! Not sure which show to see yet,
but hopefully I will choose soon.
Bradley, Brooke’s little blind dog, is still here. I
will admit I am not his biggest fan, because a) I am allergic to dogs and b) I am
more of a rabbit person, but we tolerate each other. He loves Brooke, and
whines whenever she’s not home, even if everyone else in the family pays
attention to him (this is slightly annoying when I get home before everyone
else after school and it’s just him and me- and Lennie!)
| Lennie's back feet are very large! |
And now on to Lennie! He is growing bigger and bigger,
and is now about the size of a large cat. As of yesterday he weighs eleven
pounds. He will be one on April 26th, and I’m hoping he will grow to
live up to the average weight of a Flemish Giant Rabbit: 18-22 pounds!
So there is our life.
I’m not really sure how to conclude this.
We love you all!
Alright I’m signing off to go watch Hello Dolly!
Goodbye!
