Caed has decided that closing his eyes is the proper pose to give when his mother says, "Smile!" and takes a photograph. Here are the three kidlets together this summer, enjoying each other (for the most part). We wish a "Happy Summer!" to you!

Caedmon discovers "Choo-Choo!"s

This year, Caed has discovered that trains are of high interest to him! Being well-versed in Western culture, "Thomas the Tank Engine" is the most noticeable and delightful to him; but anything that has wheels and tracks, for the most part, qualifies for his attention. This month, his pancake pieces at breakfast become the train cars, and any stripe or double lines that he sees around town, such as the highway dividing yellow line, is the track. "Choo-choo! Chrak!" he gleefully announces.

Welcome, Summer!

On the last day of the second grade, Alexandra received an award for being the class "Smart Cookie". Brooke and Caed are also happy to be in the swimming pool, and to be eating, respectively. Happy summer to you!

A Pre-Summer Vacation

We five Bigelows spent some time vacationing together in San Diego, California, for the days between DJ's graduation and his first day of work. Here we are fishing, or attempting to do so. Neither DJ nor Brooke nor any of our clan picked a fish.

Only Two Days More to Daddy's Graduation!

May 15, 2006 - Alexandra and Brooke and I made a paper chain to count the days down until DJ's graduation from the academy. Here are the kidlets, with only two days left. We were excited!

Easter Greetings

Caedmon, Brooke, and Alex enjoyed an egg hunt and breakfast this morning at the Harvest Bible Church annual sunrise service (although I confess that we arrived AFTER the sun arose!)

Along Highway 46 West, there is a lovely drive between Paso Robles and the central coastline of California. At the top of the hills over which one travels, a scenic picture spot beckoned to us: the green and rolling hills, the vast sky, the blue ocean, and Morro Rock. Such loveliness! Eye therapy! And here are various snapshots of the family members posing with Creation.

How Recruit Bigelow spends his off-hours
